A 7.62x51R would be exactly that, a .308 Winchester rimmed cartridge. The 30-30 is not a metric cartridge, and can't be a "7.62" anything. Because I say so.
There is no valid data to support that a 30-30 "has taken more deer . . . " than anything. It's just mothballs left over smell. :face palm:
By any and all logic, the "7.62x39" is the King because there are more cheap throw away crap cases left on the the firing ranges of America from it than any other centerfire round. More 7.62x39 is shot than anything other 30 cal cartridge. Therefore it is the King.
