    Bolt Gun Value

Ok, looks like I finally got to the right forum for my question. Thanks to other members for pointing me here. No thanks to some other members who get snarky over the internet.

I am curious about the value of a 1937 Winchester Model 70 30-06 (30GOV'T06 as it is stamped on the gun). I do not have pictures to post yet. Gun is in good condition. Was used on deer hunts so there is some blueing that has worn off. There are also some minor scratches in the stock. Gun is rust free and kept well oiled. The stock does not appear to be original. It looks like a super grade stock but the gun does not appear to be a super grade. The words are not stamped on the mag plate nor anywhere else on the gun so I am thinking it is not SG. Anyways, I have only done limited research so of anyone can help me figure out what the gun is worth that would be very helpful.

What you've basically said is, '' I have a Ford truck. What's it worth? ''

Not being mean. The op needs to give us ALL of the information in order to answer the original question.

Used and not original stock? 300 to 500 bucks.

Big range of prices on gunbroker....

All depends on condition. Since production began in '36 it "may" have some value though of course the Super Grades command the higher prices.

Love how he gives no real or useful info, no photos which are pretty much mandatory if he wants good answers and wants an accurate value.
Then whines about getting "snarky" by others who most likely were correct with their posts. Such as it was in wrong forum or lack of USEFUL info to make a educated value.
Now he has still not posted any photos.
Next he will argue the prices people will say......maybe.
All this from a newbie with 17 posts.
Sounds like he has a very thin skin and maybe should just take up knitting and forget about firearms

Please go ahead and whine about this post also.

Great don't mind if I do. I provided the information I had available at the time hoping that someone on here might be decent enough to make suggestions as to what further information I should gather. Jackasses like you do nothing to promote gun ownership or gun knowledge. To the other posters on here who decided to be helpful even with limited information I appreciate it. Go be an internet tough guy elsewhere.

"Tough guy"---No just honest and realistic.
                            Still no photos.
                            Still no more useful info.
Just more whining on your part.
With the "limited information" you gave it could be a $100 or a $1000 rifle. So just how is that "helpful"
Try growing up and admitting you did poorly and the only new post from you was to argue about a post pointing out the problems with your last post. You could not even bring more info and/or photos to help redeem yourself.

Yes you should give up firearms and take up knitting. As for myself......I have been a member of this site a long time and I have helped many people on this site both on the internet and in person. I just do not molly-cuddle whiners and that is not being a "tough guy".....just a straight up, no nonsense, very knowledgeable type of guy.

So have a nice day and get your panties un-bunched.
Also maybe if you did not start out complaining about forum members in your 3rd sentence of your OP you would not be treated as the whiner you are proving to be.

While you are at it get some real info and PHOTOS posted so people can really give you accurate information on "your" rifle. Since you are new it is best not to give the complete serial number when posting. Also you state it is in "good condition". Is that NRA good condition rating or just your point of view. Often they are different. Did you remove the stock to check for rust in hidden areas?

Maybe your 19th total post can be more useful than your 17-18th posts.
