    Sell or save

I have a Winchester model 70 in 300 win mag, that has had a lot of work done by the good guys at American Precision Arms. I want a Nemo 300 win mag. So the question is, sell the beast with all its accessories and splurge on the Nemo, or save up and buy the Nemo down the line. I don't compete and my job doesn't require me to have pin point accuracy, however the gun is amazing to shoot and fantastically accurate. Thoughts?

I would make a pro and con list. Pick the one you would want to shoot more. Keep both if possible but if the funds are needed I would sell to get something you want more. Hard decision hope this helps lol.

I would never get rid of a well sorted and pretty Win70.
weg: That device is obsolete now. They replaced it with wizards.
frank: Wait a minute. There are more than one wizard? Is [are?] the wizard calibrated?

I have not seen a Nemo that would function reliably through a mag of ammo yet.
They may exist someplace, but the ones that have been in front of me in person were just problem guns that we ended up fixing by loaning the shooter a bolt gun.

Keep what you have (it sounds like great equipment!), save your money for your later years when you will be glad you did.

I would never sell a good-shooting, accurate rifle that you enjoy. You'd definitely regret it down the line.

The nemo is a niche. The belted magnum doesn't allow the rounds to reset completely in the magazine. Therefore they jam. Seen this first hand where the top round jumps forward and can't reset back due to the belt. This also happened on my other bolt gun with a CDI precision bottom metal. If you make a delrin spacer in front and keep the rounds "tight" in the magazine it works.

In the current political climate, I would hold on to every firearm I could get my hands on.

Exactly this. Our freedom of firearms may become very limited in the near future.

If it's collecting dust and wasn't a hand me down then by all means sell it.

I would keep it even though I do not like the Model 70because of the safety and they do not seem to fit me as well as some other brands.

Save your money for the other rifle and who knows by the time you have the money your desires may change and you want something else.

My choice is always to keep it and save up for the new one. Regardless of the guns in question, and the political climate, I just don't sell guns. I mean, I suppose if you absolutely hated you m70 for some reason, then you might as well get rid of it, but it doesn't sound like you hate it. I'm guessing you'll miss it if it's gone.
Settle down, folks. The new "ghost gun" regulations probably don't do what you think they do.
