Take that pile of junk out to the garage and just drill some holes in the barrel. it will match the craftsmanship already in place on the rifle.

Fire a couple of rounds to deburr it an call it good.

Seriously the reason I don't work on Mosins is the crappy finish and surfaces you have to deal with. for a crappy rifle it's not worth my effort. and you sure as hell are not going to want to pay me $65 an hour to work on it.

For some reason Mosin owner think the work should cost half that of what the same job on a Rem would run.

But if you want work befitting of a mosin sure bring it over. we'll drill out the brake till it slips over the barrel and weld it in place. Got a scope you need mounted I'll weld that in place to. Only the finest of quality 1/8" 7018 structural steel welding rod.

Like i said in my PM I do not work on junk. Sorry.
Whoa man, I'm not takin' a shot at you. I get it, Mosin's are Russian made, and worse yet, mass produced for their military which makes them more volatile than Chernobyl.

I was just asking if you did work and used your answer as a light hearted segway into asking others that didn't share your opinion. Anyway, crack open a cold beer and enjoy the fine work you do while I try to scrape together info from other Mosin owners.

You made the video on youtube, yea?

That's a wicked custom job. What muzzle brake do you have?

I thought about doing a cerakote finish but I'm still undecided if I want to dump the extra couple hundred dollars to get it done or look into how to do it myself.
