Ordered a Remington 700 Long Range today

Finally found one at Bass Pro in Rancho Cucamonga after searching for a long time. I ordered a 700 LR in .30-06, so now the wait begins. Not only do I have to do the 10 day wait, but I have to wait to start the 10 days until the rifle comes in.

At least it give me time to start looking into optics and maybe a muzzle brake.

I haven't been on Snipers Hide much since they switched over to Scout. My log in seems to be hit or miss. I'll check it out though.

Nice choice! I've been drooling about it on budgunshop. I think it'll be a sub moa gun with handloads. The .308 is nice, but 30-06 is nicer.

I wanted the 26" barrel because I plan on loading the 208 A Max or 215 Hybrid. I can't wait to see what it does.

It's a standard Remington rifle. Bass Pro has more available. The California locations weren't getting them because they were restricted. I told the guy there wasn't anything that made them illegal so he called around and got it removed from the restricted list.

It looks like one of Remington's newer Long Range precision production models with a 26" heavy barrel and a contour concave target style crown in a aluminum block bedded Bell and Carlson M40 Tactical stock. Calibers listed on the site are 25-06, 7mm Remington Mag, 300 Win Mag, 300 Remington Ultra Mag and 30-06 Sprg. Says in the info it is engineered to make three shots look like one please keep us posted.

Just curious, did any local business seem able or willing to find and order one for you? I know you said you searched for along time.
