I think everyone agrees. The AI mags, though a bit more expensive, are a better value at $70 than the PMags at $40. Before AI discontinued their plastic 223 mag, it was $40, and it was very good for a plastic mag. There was no scale on the AICS 223s, but they still made what I expect to be a nicer plastic mag for the same price.

Don't knock the mags just yet, the reviews seem to be pretty positive.

You can get two pmags for the price of an AI mag. Most guys have a hard time forking over $150+ for 2 mags.

I love the AIs, and I love the AW double stacks even more, and since I run an AICS chassis, the AW doublestack version works in mys setup and I don't have that huge 10 round mag sticking out from the bottom of my stock.

But, I think the pmag would best be suited for guys using the Ruger RPR and in a pinch, you can run it in your custom rifle that takes AI mags

So let's say they can produce an LR/SR mag for $8 after all that and an AICS mag for $22 after all of that.
Are you really complaining that they are selling the AICS mags for more than the LR/SR mags?

only if it is disproportionately more. We don't really know since we don't work for Magpul. This is all just guessing. But the price seems a little high for what your are getting.

Wish (hope) they make a double stack AW version (5 and 10). Hate those long mags...

                  Wyatt's are proprietary.
                  They ONLY take Wyatt's mags.
ALL of the "drop-in" short action DBM setups use proprietary mags.

Over on scout rifle.org, they were saying that material was shaving off the Pmag feed lips with the Ruger GSR. I'll stick with my Alphas.

Hey, it's an Accuracy International, it's supposed to be expensive.

Magpul is likely in business to be in business, not provide the public with goods that are as cheap as possible.

Hehe kinda funny to me when people get upset about the price.

Nobody is putting a gun to your head and forcing you to buy.
