    Bronwing B-92 .44 mag

I found a LNIB Browning .44 mag lever action for sale for $500. Looks brand new. Been wanting a .44 mag lever action for a while to add to the collection. Saw this one at my LGS but don't know anything about it.

Is $500 a good price? Any historical issues with this rifle? Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Trash

    That's an unbelievable price.

It's a high quality 1892 replica made in Japan.

Thanks everyone. I filled out the 4473 on it. Good thing the owner of the LGS knows me and will accept payment before pick up. Since I hadn't ever seen one, I figured $500 was a safe bet compared to the Winchesters going for more than that on the used market. I don't think it's ever been fired. Came out of an estate that I had purchased a few pieces from. All the guns I got from that collection are all barely used.

Thanks for the info. Anything negative I need to know about it?

Be careful with the edges around the Loading Gate. If its really new, they will be a little sharp and if you shoot it a lot you will find out what I am talking about. Other than that, mine is great, never had a problem.

$500 is a good price for one of these.
The B-92 is the best made 1892 of them all, including Winchester. It does have a few things like "proud" wood and minor contour issues that are less appealing than an original, but the material and machining are top notch. My friend has one that has micro groove rifling. Not sure if they all do, but that might be a concern if you want to shoot cast bullets.
I have a .357 that will stay with me forever.

This ^^^^ I just bought one on gunbroker and paid $790 for a LNIB example. I thought this was pretty much FMV so you are getting a deal.

Dibs if you ever want to sell it.

                      I have a .357 B92 and it's such a peach.

Thanks all for the info. I've been looking at 44 levers for a couple years now to round out my rifle/pistol combo's. My trouble is that I was wanting a Winchester quality rifle for a Rossi price. I fell into a honey hole with my LGS. He got hold of an estate sale of 225+ guns. I knew (no matter what it was) that a $500 lever gun in that shape wouldn't last long so I just dros'd it.

                          .
                          A Browning B92 for $500?

                          You suck!

I have one, but for that price I'd snatch up another in a heartbeat. Congratulations! I have on my bucket list to purchase a B92 in .357, which! I will shorten to 18". I'm leaving my .44 mag at 20.

Now, how does it shoot? IT'S AMAZING. At the outdoor pistol range I go to, there are barnyard steels hanging from chains at 30, 50, 75, 100 and 110 yards. Offhand, and with Federal 240 gr. semi jacketed soft points I am able to hit. every. piece. without much change in hold. (ok so I use a 6 o'clock hold for the 30 yrdrs...)

I adamantly agree with others' opinions that this Miroku-made 1892 replica may very well be the finest production levergun ever made.

I've yet to hunt with it, but I will. I wish to be buried with it; that's how much I value this fine lever carbine (and the Model 1892 itself).

I went back at lunch today to take a couple pics and get the serial # to research. It was made in 1980. When I walked in I saw it still sitting in the rack on the wall. I said WTH?? Put that thing away!! The shop owner said "No, that's a .357. It's not yours...yet."

I don't have a need for it, but it's marked at $600 and in perfect shape as far as I can tell. If anyone is interested PM me and I'll give you the shop details.

So here's some pics of the 44 I picked up yesterday.

I put 16 rounds through my Rossi 44 carbine last Saturday, my shoulder still hurts.

That's a fine looking gun you have there, just beautiful ..

IMO, the .357 is a more desirable gun and worth more. I'd jump all over that if you can..
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.
