nice. can't wait to see what one of their bolt guns looks like -
LaRue went anti-CA for a while couple years back... are they still? I've always like Mark's product... still remember when he did the ARMS mount trade-in program right before Shot to proof that the ARMS mount is weaker. Got some replacement LaRue rings and one-piece mount out of it... and some freebie in the box. Not sure how much it costed Mark... but it couldn't have been cheap for the amount of people that took advantage of it.

Its only the action because its using an Accuracy International chassis. Its going to be a nice bolt gun but way way over priced due to the name. Ill passPrevious iTrader rating, over 150 Positive ratingsComment

Here's my take on this. The custom bolt gun market is high dollar. People drop $4k to $10k on a rifle alone. Add another $2k-$5k for optics. People buy this **** up. There are companies like Larue, Era3, Jesse James, ect. that have figured this out. From what I can tell the "Siete" is exactly what the above companies I listed are doing. Action: Winchester based (why????). Stock: Accuracy International AX/PSR. Barrel: Who knows. The main determinant of how accurate this rifle will be is in the chambering of the barrel, if they use an off the shelf blank like Bartlein, Kreiger, ect. I seriously doubt they would re-tool and use the machines they use for their AR barrels to drill, cut, and rifle bolt gun barrel blanks. Even if they did, their bolt gun barrels would be no where close to the quality existing bolt gun barrel makers today. In short, the Siete is a mish mash of available parts with no innovation, slapped together most likely in a mass-produced fashion, and sold at a significant mark up. Not worth it. You can get a full custom rifle that will out-shoot anything from Larue for $1k cheaper, depending on your stock.Comment

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

I've never been a high dollar any kind of gun guy but if I went that route on a bolt rifle I'd go GAP.Last edited by deadcoyote; 05-15-2015, 1:30 PM.Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.Comment

While I am disappointed you don't like Winchester actions, its actually a 700 based action with what appears to be a 3 position Mauser style safety.

Very underwhelming....
I love Larue's AR's, they are incredibly well built and designed. After seeing the video above, it's just a "me too" product, and when I first saw this thread I had hoped Larue was making a custom chassis.
It will surely be built well and it does look nice, but likely fall short of competitors for this niche, as the posts above say.Comment
