Best Bore Guide and Cleaning Rod?

Figure those in Manually Operated would know or be more picky about this:

Any favorite bore guides or cleaning rods (or anything else you'd like to share). So far it looks like the Lucas bore guides are pretty popular and there doesn't seem to be a preference on rods as long as they don't damage anything.

Currently using a brass Outer's Cleaning rod with various attachments and Boresnakes of corresponding sizes.

I went with Dewey Rod and Guide myself.

i have always use possum brand, i like the fact it has rubber o-rings to prevent solvent and oil from running back into the action.

I'm partial to the bore tech rods. They are solid and heavy, seem to go through easier.
Lucas bore guides are really nice.

Lucas with a boretech rod is hard to beat.
I have Dewey rods but I hate that they all have an adapter on them to hold a brush where the BoreTechs don't.

I use the Tipton Deluxe 1-piece carbon fiber cleaning rod for both pistol and rifle.
They are not cheap, but I think they are very good quality and precise.

Dewey rods for me. I have Pro-Shooter rods for my pistols.
Not sure of my bore guide brand.

It looks like the TKNolan is still caliber specific right? Is it action specific as well?

Actually, since we're at it, hopefully this doesn't open up a new can of worms, but how does everyone clean their barrel?

For me, if it's really dirty, I plug the chamber end with a small bit of bunched up cloth so stuff can't escape. Then, from the muzzle end, I fill the barrel with gunslick foaming bore cleaner and let it sit per instructions. Then, from the chamber end, I pick the cloth plug out (soft plastic pick) and run the rod forward with various attachments, being careful to not to engage the throat or any other critical area on the way in. Once the rod is all the way through, I unscrew the attachment before pulling it back through the barrel. Add next necessary attachment, repeat, etc.

If it's just a normal cleaning, I spray some Slip2000 715 cleaner down the bore from the muzzle end, set everything up briefly while it works, then run the rod through with various attachments. Again, unscrew attachment from rod to pull the rod back through. Repeat until done. I realize for various reasons a bore guide should be used though (don't have one).

The Sinclair delrin bore guides are pretty good, as well as the Lucas bore guide. I have both.

As far as rods, I use both Dewey coated and Pro-Shot stainless steel.

I tried carbon fiber, but I hated the flex.

I use a Tipton carbon fiber rod and Possum Hollow bore guides. Been using them for years and always worked well.

Yep you hit it on the head you have to call and see if he makes a bore guide for your rifle.
On the cleaning most shooters don't allow the cleaner to work. They are in a hurry and never let it do its job.
In general I use GM Top Engine cleaner for the carbon and 50 BMG copper killer on the copper.
BUT if its my 50's I use 28% ammonia.
If your using foam put a flexible brake line on the nozzle and spray it from the action to the muzzle and keep the muzzle slanted down.
If you goof up and fill your action use some Rosignol lighter fluid to flush your trigger
