Deer Rifle Recommendation?

The Atlas looks super slick but ouch it's pricey. I don't think I'm high speed enough to appreciate it yet. How about a knock-off for 1/10th the price for range bench use? Thinking sticks and pack rest for the field?

I'm of the mind set that quality only hurts once. Then again, Murphy's law applies to EVERYTHING I own so I like known quality and guarantees. I would still opt for something name brand, there is nothing wrong with a Harris, its just not as versatile as the Atlas offerings. Caldwell, Blackhawk, UTG, etc all make cheap stuff that will probably work just fine under light recoil bench use. Sticks and a pack should cover you for hunting, still recommend fitting a skid plate somewhere in there just for versatility and options.
