I'm of the mind set that quality only hurts once. Then again, Murphy's law applies to EVERYTHING I own so I like known quality and guarantees. I would still opt for something name brand, there is nothing wrong with a Harris, its just not as versatile as the Atlas offerings. Caldwell, Blackhawk, UTG, etc all make cheap stuff that will probably work just fine under light recoil bench use. Sticks and a pack should cover you for hunting, still recommend fitting a skid plate somewhere in there just for versatility and options.
