How I mounted 4 CCA cheek rest

First off I have Spike tube with pad. I took the CCA cheek pad and removed extra plastic around rear holes and put 2" 8-32 brass screw in them to clamp down back. I then drilled holes in front of it so the screw was inside small tube on bottom and this clamp down the front (not to tight). Hope this helps, I can email a pic if u wish!
PS It also helped to upgrade latch handle (Mod4) to reduce pad catching the handle.

Could you post pics of this mod so I can lose the zip ties? Thanks.

My AR pistol has sat in my safe for probably a year now, it just doesn't get used, so I have been out of the loop with the whole AFG not a second hand grip statement from ATF.

So to clarify, AFGs are GTG on locked mag pistols but not on featureless rifles as there is still no word from CA DOJ as to whether the AFG is classified as an evil feature. From my understanding then, b/c my AR pistol is a reg'd AW, I can throw an AFG on it and still be legal, as it is exempt from all CA evil feature restrictions and ATF has said the AFG is not a second grip making an AOW... Is my thinking flawed or what?

ATF has stated that it does not make the firearm an AOW. DOJ has not taken a position. Below is the ATF letter. The AFG is mentioned in the last question:

heres a crappy cel pick of my first build ever I just finished.
Took me quite a few months to do, as Ive been caught up with so many other things.
Now I just need the time to shoot it!

This is actually my first "build" ever

Being that the upper is a LMT, I originally had planned on doing something of a more modern MK18 pistol, but ultimately decided to keep things a bit more simple and old school looking.

            10.5" LMT upper
home completed 80% lower with no markings ()
            BCM BCG
            DPMS lpk
BCM gunfighter large latch charging handle
            convertible bullet button
            colt carry handle
double heat sheilded std type handguards
            rifle extension tube and buffer

While I do think the A2 fits with the over all look rather well, I really hate these things, and have dumped them immediately on every firearm I own that came with one. I think I am gonna toss a MIAD on there.

Im going to see if I can get a DD ez carbine sling mount to work with it, plus add a can butt cap to the buffer tube and I think Im finished.

Nice! What is the barrel length/twist?

You may want to reconsider the buffer tube before bringing it out for public viewing. That tube can accept a stock, and then can be configured as a SBR

It's usually stamped somewhere on the barrel. The manufacturer of the barrel could tell you as well.

does not matter, I dont own a A1 or A2 stock with an adapter hence I cannot be charged with constructive possession. The only other stock I own that is for an AR15 is a std carbine stock which wont work with that extension so its moot.

Check archived posts on ARFCOM, this has been covered to no end.

Regardless, Im going to permanently attach a screw or just remove the threading on it just to play things a bit on the safe side.

Run a patch through it.... If it makes a half turn in 4.5 inches, it's a 1:9 twist bbl.
