          I haven't checked the length but I think it's short 16" it's a 12 1/2" barrel

              Yes, I know it would no longer be a pistol, it just seems to make more since to pin & weld it & turn it into a rifle since it's so close ,maybe a 1/2in off, 12.5+3.2, just my opinion

                I would just put on a rifle buffer tube and slap on a vertical grip. maybe even a rubber cane tip since the ATF opines that they do NOT constitute a buttstock:

                    Thordsens just came out with a CAA saddle adapter kit so the CAA saddle can attach directly to their buffer tube cover. I should be receiving mine today, and will let you guys know how it goes
