Looks like ratio between slide length and grip-looks like barrel longer than 5 inch. Probably optical illusion.

Yea, I think it's just the picture as it is 5". I 'm very happy with it, great fit and feels good in the hand.

does it make the slide slippery without lubrication? the reason i’m asking is because i have couple of ar bolts that are coated with nitride(?) and it’s slippery with little oil on.

It's Electroless Nickel / Boron Nitride. It feels somewhat slippery, kind of like NP3 finish
