That's a good looking 59. Classic S&W bluing always looks good on a semiauto. I was told my 659 (which per S&W was manufactured in 1985) was owned by an LEO before I bought it so while it may not be an LE trade it may have been an LE gun. It's got some honest wear on it but I cleaned it up, did some maintenance on it, and then worked with Denes Marschalko and MarschalGrips of Hungary to have a custom set of wood grips made for it. The thing I really like about the grips is that they are not much thicker than the stock plastic grips, so unlike many wood grips they don't make the grip oversized.

Thanks. I think MarschalGrips has them available to order on their website now too. One thing I really like about ordering from them is that you can choose both the wood material and finish. I specifically chose maple wood and a gray stain finish for my 659 to contrast with the stainless finish.Comment

I would love to see a CBP trade in HK P2000."...the lust for power can be just as completely satisfied by suggesting people into loving their servitude as by flogging and kicking them into obedience." -Aldous Huxley
