Well, just for comparison, here is my original M&P40 sear next to the Forward Set sear that came with the Apex FSS trigger kit.

So the slide stop assembly will fit all M&PS, ie M&P 9 FS, 9c, 45 compact?

And it will improve the reset on all models?

Sold off my M&Ps but had the Apex parts in them. Made a significant difference. Reminds me that I might have some spare Apex parts laying around...

Viet4lifeOC*** yes the new slide stop will fit your pistols. Yes it will drastically improve reset, even more so than the apex parts. That is why apex never came out with a ram for the 45's, smith already solved the Iissue.

            I believe the slide stop/release fits the 9, 40, & 357.

It was explained to me that the M&P 45 is its own beast and does not share parts (generally speaking) with the other calibers.

I know the RAM (Reset Assist Mechanism) is different from the M&P 45 to the other calibers as well as the Apex Hard Sear.

Sear blocks and trigger bar are not interchangeable but the slide stop is the same. Look up the part on brownells website. Says all m&p * does not fit shield. These are facts.

                Thanks

I have Apex duty/carry kits on all my M&P and they make the trigger better, but not great.

I had a M&P 9FS that I return for warranty repair due to rust...and they returned it the new slide stop assembly. AMAZING RESET.

When you say "current crop" do you have an idea, or can you make a guesstimate, as to how far back S&W started using the improved design slide stop? or how to recognize the new design?

The OP looks like the newer S&W Performance Center and the Apex fully machined sear,....NOT the forward set sear (FSS).

The FSS has 3 dots,...the machined sear only 1

Proof. I think we need proof.

As far as current crop the first one I came across was late mid 2013. Easily spoted by the welded on tabs next to the ears that you make contact with to release the slide. The trigger bar is pressurized by the hump on the slide stop intil it slips past the sear upon release of the trigger.

As for proof of all the m&p's maybe one day I will take a fancy picture for you all.
