M&P pro sear vs. Apex sear (PICS)

I've never seen a side by side of the pro sear and Apex sear, so thought I'd share. The darker sear is from Apex. Sorry for the cell phone pics.

I've always wondered what the sear looked like on the Pro and Apex. Thanks for sharing.

Is the Pro sear the one that comes from the S&W performance center guns?

Nice comparison. I left my Pro alone for a while just to get used to it, and I liked the trigger. But, just for comparison, I bought the competition trigger kit from Apex and put it in. Made a nice trigger even better!

The Apex sear works so much better. I didnt get the whole kit just the sear and the difference is already noticeable. If I get any M&P, Pro or regular its getting the Apex sear.

This makes me miss my M&Ps a little.

This is a photo of mine. It is the stock sear in a standard M&P. I tried to rotate the pic for easier comparison, doesn't seem to work.

it is from a late 2014 production Pro. However, not the newer Performance model.

Here you go - and we probably should know if this is the sear from a 10lb or 6.5lb pull, the M&P 9 is sold with both. Your pistol SKU will tell you if you look it up.

I have 5 M&Ps and replaced all 5 stock sears for the APEX Hard Sear, what a difference. The trigger on my M&Ps are just as good as the trigger on my PPQ.

I also installed a APEX RAM (reset assist mechanism) on my M&P 9, does anyone know when there will be a APEX RAM available for the M&P 45?

As for the apex ram for m&p 45, install the slide stop from the current crop of m&p's. In stock sometimes at gandrtactical.com all slide stops are the same for all platforms of the m&p. You will get great reset and a much more robust slide stop.
