Oportunistic pricing since SSE has ended. Also, getting revenge on all of you guys who did not buy thier stuff and ordered SSE handguns from decent and reputable gun shops.

Discount Gun Mart in SD has them for $1299. Hell, they have the Kimber TLE II/RL for $939, and Beretta M9A1 for $599.

Why is it too much to ask for $1700 for a half rail TRP Operator in 2015 post SSE? I think it's pricey but fair for the business to ask it but I'm just not sure about them selling off roster guns based on a packaging technicality post SSE. I do know of LGS nearby (That is or was when I last came in) selling an TRP Operator (Half Rail) for $1699 but only for LE purchase only.

My TRP Operator (Half Rail) via SSE for $1772.06 OTD in 2013

        $1499.00 MSRP
        $35.00 Shipping (Insured)
        $134.91 Sales Tax 9%
        $100.00 SSE/DROS Fee

There is no way any shop is going to sell a half rail Operator to a non exempt person. It's off roster!

They will!! I was surprised to see it myself, happened before my eyes. It makes sense to do that chances are if they dont the customer will give the sale to the competition even if its a bit out of the way. Now if you price match and keep him in your store 1- he/she will remember that 2-you run a good chance of they buying other stuff from the store at the same time. Think about it. do u ever just buy 1 thing on a visit? I never leave a store without some ammo, or a brush, or oil etc.

Good buisness. Im ok with turners, have had my share of doucher salesman to deal with, i usually try to avoid the guys that dont smile. Management has done good by me.

I love stories like this. I managed to buy a truckload of ammo in this very fashion.

                  $1700 + tax + DROS is a good deal.

Guns and Fishing and Others in Vacaville wants $1799

Dont get me wrong. I absolutely love my TRP Full Rail and its a gun I will NEVER sell, but if I had to pay $1700-1799 for a non railed TRP I'd spend 200-300 more and buy a Les Baer. The TRP is a phenomenal gun, but for a few hundred more you can buy a Les Baer thats a complete custom hand built gun and IMO its well worth the price difference.

                      Agreed.

Of all the customized (Wilson, Nighthawk, Ed Brown, etc...) 1911 makers, I think the Les Baer ones offer the best value for the money.

I am just not a fan of turner's. They did some weird stuff in the last couple of years. None which were kind to fellow law abiding gun owners. I support local mom and pop store, even if they price a little higher. God bless small business owners.

I specifically bought a full rail TRP last year in anticipation of on-roster guns being marked up. Good thing I picked it up at a fair price.

Full rail TRP, $1750 OTD as new dealer sale, fair or not?

Considering they are for sale in the Marketplace here for $1,800 to $2,200, good deal.
