Nope, no barrel or recoil spring according to:

PWS unveiled their new Glock EDS (Enhanced Duty Slide). You provide your own barrel and recoil spring but it is a simple drop in upgrade. The rep said they did not want to make any modifications to the frame or trigger of the Glock yet were able to bring the factory trigger pull down from 5.5 lbs to 4 lbs.

I put in a polished lone wolf plunger (shiny and round vs OEM) new springs, polished trigger.

It's clean consistent break and smooth for a few bucks.

Ide love a new slide. I hate the shark fin looking serrations on my rtf2. But not worth 500 bucks. I means it's just a glock, I'll buy a whole new gun for that much money.

Yeah, the Vicker's uppers on GB come with night sights, barrel, and RSA for under $400.

Do you have the 17 RTF?

          Link to the .22 slide?

For $200 to $300 I'd consider it. $450 to $550 is too rich for just a slide with a lighter striker spring and smoother plunger.

I have a gen 3 17 rtf2 with the funny looking slide serration and the Velcro texture grip (now fully stippled over)

At least it comes with sights...

Did they perform any sort of focus group evaluation prior to designing and releasing this? I guess they are banking on the more dollars than sense crowd.

I'm getting this flash back to that Tom Hanks movie Big where the Type-A executive is pitching his new toy building and how it transforms, and this part does this, and that part does that, and Tom Hanks, innocently trying to figure out what the point of all that was says "but what does it do?"

Tell me again exactly what it is that I can buy for $500.00, and why it is better than my stock Glocks, which work 100% of the time and are completely reliable.

I wish I had a 17 slide to trade you for the fishy one.

New gen3 slides built but without barrel and RSA routinely go for around $200 on GB.

i'd rather pick up a Gen 2 G17 or Gen 2 G19 for that amount of money. a G26 would work too.

What are you lacking with a Glock trigger? Ever tried a setup from glocktriggers.com? Cheaper than that slide and still just as reliable as OEM. The Guardian trigger is really nice but the difference between an OEM Glock and one with a guardian is less than the difference between a stock M&P and an apexed M&P.

Why not just swap out the entire Glock for a 1911?

Yeesh, you Glock guys and your hunt for a trigger that is like the 1911 are like vegetarians who continue to look for vegetables that taste like meat.

Why not go for the real thing?

                              Funny, but true!

I agree with this guys post on the subject. the cost of the gun plus all the upgrades to get rid of what it was designed to be. Could have gotten a better gun from the beginning.

Slapping an upper onto a lower is not "building" an AR-15.
