Adjustable gas block or a pigtail gas tube with a spikes tungsten buffer.

Start w/ a standard buffer & spring & go from there. I use that set up on a 7 1/2 barrel & have no issues. No double feeds, no jams & bolt locks back every time on the last round.

JP adjustable gas block and a standard buffer is all you'll need for it to cycle reliable. Using steel case ammo is a crap shoot on feeding and extracting.

          This^^

Before you go running full wild set ups, springs and add ons. Run a standard spring and buffer and see how things go for the first 100 rounds.

I've shot a ton of pistols one of which is my own on standard buffer and buffer spring and all but 3 have run 100%. 2 needed adj gas blocks and the other needed a H spring and buffer set.

Start with the basics. Start with factory standard. Then adjust accordingly.

I have a pigtail tbe and standard weight buffer. Runs great. No issues cycling and I feel that felt recoil is a little less with a longer gas tube. My 2cents

I ordered the phase 5 pistol buffer tube. I was thinking of getting the H2 buffer with a enhanced sprinco spring (red). First I try it out with a standard buffer and spring.

also i see there are some buffers out there with a hard plastic bumper

make sure you use one that your thumbnail will dig into a little

i just use the standard gas tube

i mostly shoot my reloads which are slightly downloaded

also make sure you have a bolt that has a strong extractor spring it doesnt have to be excessive it just has to not be weak

i was having a bit of a problem i bought a cheap bcg and intermitant failures to extract i traded it out with my carbines one and it worked fine

the weaker bolt one works in my carbine it was just a fine threshold

its hard to explain the tension i could move the extractor with my thumb a bit on the one that caused issued and the other i could not budge with my naked thumb

I have a 7.5 also. The above advise is what I would give.

I haven't had any issues. I've only had a few hundred rounds threw it so far though.

Yup, i started with H buffer. Shot i and it was a little on the fast side. I took the buffer apart and casted a lead weight the same size. It came out to be 4.8oz or something.. a tad heavier then H2. Solved the problem.

On my 7.5 I ended up with an H3 buffer and heavier extractor spring to get it to run without a hiccup.

Now no issues and eats any ammo.

Start with what you got and chart from there. Try different ammo, different bullet weights, different mags etc. Note any problems and makes changes only if needed. It may run fine how it is.

Thanks for advice. Everyone I've talk too has said its basically trial and error. Hopefully everything functions properly but now I have some specific things to look for if it doesn't.
