    Sig 229/228 conversion with picts!

Finally picked up the jailed 229. Conversion works great so far, less some range time.
Pull the slide, remove the barrel lock, replace with the 228 parts. Easy Peasy. 9mm seems to cycle / feed fine. Anxious now for some range time, or if i can leave early from work buddies bomb shelter to say the least.
    Picts
    Slide by slides.
    9mm fits fine

Well then, you'll be poor for a long time because you are at the beginning stage.
Think about P226, P229 and other Ps.

                  226...226....226....220....220.... lol.

Wanted to buy a glock 17 or 19. Then this calgunner sold me my first used sig. 2022/40. OOOOO AAAAA sa/da is so nice. Pistol is made so well. I save up some $$ and think i am buying a glock 17/19 then this calgunner practically gives away this nice 239/40. Ok then i realize to trade off my shield for a glock 17/19, then this 229 follows me home.
Moral? Stay away from calguns. LOL. I still dont have that glock yet. Its just that when you see a sig for sale at or near the same price as a nice glock, what would you do?

YOu know what you have to do right? Buy that Glock or you'll keep running into Sig. Or keep looking for a Glock and keep buying Sig.

I'm dirt poor because of Sig. My wallet hasn't recover yet since July of last year.

Maybe i can trade the sw 45 for a glock? Or maybe a 226? How do i get a CDNN sig into kommifornia?

SP2022 is on roster, so don't rush on it. I suggest you focus your efforts on getting a p226 for your first 9mm Sig. It's the quintessential example of a 9mm. An SSE P226 is what you need. bargain down the price and try to get one NIB or very low miles.

I like WaltKowalski's idea but if you strike another great deal with 2022 then it's a no brainer. Complete your selected 2022's line up and then P series or in any order if you are able to find them in great bargain.

Get what you really want and be happy. That's what I did, sold some and bought some more and the reason why I'm broke! not a good advice.

You do know that you could have just purchased a 9mm barrel recoil spring and mags for the 229 and been done right? You don't need to switch to a 228 slide. It will fit, but it may not function 100% they are a bit different.

I have a 228. wonder if I could go from 9 to 40? not that I have any reason to, but wonder if it could be done.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.
