It aint so, sorta.

Loaded Full Size MC Operator PX9105ML and the TRP Light Rail Armory Kote PC9105L are on the list. However, there used to be more models that I don't see (full rail loaded and milspec for example).

Springfield has so many model #s, and changes 'em so often for trivial things, that it's difficult for them to keep current w/CA 'safe gun' testing, etc.

I'd think there were, and will be, lotsa Springfield Armory handgun models that just won't make it into CA sales channel since small sales are likely predicted for some of these variants and it just won't be worth the certification cost.

According to the Ca. DOJ it is. Under the model number PX9105ML.
It expires later this year and SA has to resubmit another example for testing.

The line from the list reads:
PX9105ML / Carbon Steel Pistol 5.0" .45 ACP 10/25/2005

? Why ? Unless they've changed something (so it's a "new" gun), or DOJ thinks what was tested is not what is being sold, all they are supposed to have to do is pay the bribe again.

According the the Web site doing the raffle it has been posted it is legal.

I am skeptical, i think it is legal because customizing a gun on the DOJ list doesnt make it a different model. Its still an Operator which is legal to buy. It would seem we need more info, and one persons opinion at the DOJ has not conviced me. This needs more research!

Well, I'm taking the chance, too.

Look at it this way, if you win the raffle, you also get a Yost-Bonitz custom Rem 870. Isn't that worth a few bucks to support a worthy cause?

You can always sell the Operator if your FFL thinks it isn't Cali OK.
