Brought home my final SSEs tonight

Marriage pays off and I finally got my last two SSEs.

They are like brothers from different mothers:

It's sad to see that S&W Performance Center just doesn't make guns like this any more. They could have been giving Sig Mastershop a run for their money right now.

Sig could learn to offer better presentation and packaging of their Mastershop guns.

It's a little strange having a gigantic pistol case with nice latches for my XDS, and a small wimpy pistol case for the X-five

Well played. My wife and I worked together as well. And an X-5 classic was in the mix. As for the PC, my first thought was "wow, I didn't even know they made something like that!" And reading further into your post it seems they don't; any longer.

              Beautiful. Is that X5 a .40sw or 9mm?

Seems funny with all that mechanical excellence, but that was my first thought too! Also digging the branded prop rods, not exactly high-ranking features.

Even though I haven't shot competition in many years, I always wanted one of those shoots-like-a-laser Smith PC autos. Just cuz. Class acts you got there, madoka.

Those grips are okay. I really liked the grips on the X-Five and X-Six I got last month though. Pics don't do justice. They have to be held to fully appreciate how nice they are.

The one in the pic is a 9mm. My X-Five in .40sw is coming in at the end of this month.

Very nice OP, congrats. You dropped some coin on those 4 SSE's for sure.
