p226 9mm mag feed issues?

thanks everyone for helping out. I just got home and had a chance to look at my mags, they ARE made in the USA. Looks like I should find some Italian mags. The standard 10rnd mags work fine though. Like everyone said, it's the blocked mags acting funny.

Mec Gar was the oem mag maker for sig. Then they went cheap and hired check mate industries. Some people have had issues with the check mate mags.

is there any clear way of telling what mags are made by who?

If the mag is marked Made in USA, then they are the Checkmate mags. I've seen two brand new 9mm P226 Checkmate mags lock the slide back with one round left in the mag. The follower pushed up the slide lock lever even with a round remaining in the mag, it was obvious that the mag dimensions were off since it did the same on two different pistols. Mec-Gar mags did not do this in the same pistols.

exactly what is happening to mine! I'm gonna go shoot it again today and see what happens. Gonna order me some of these mags NOW!

Sig Sauer really sucks for doing this, plus its blocked making it even less reliable. Although i have heard that Checkmate has turned their QC around I guess its not turned around enough. BTW-You don't need an OEM Sig mag, just get MecGars they can be had for $22 each from Midway.

Does anyone actually have the 10 rd mecgars mags from midway? The only review they have on the midway website says they don't seat properly.
