Anywhere that handles PPT should be GTG. Recently did a hassle free PPT at Krausewerk Collectibles is San Mateo. Easy in and out. I was the buyer. Not even sure if the gun I got is on roster or not. IT DOESN'T MATTER.
We both walked in to Krausewerk, and no probs.
You just DROS, wait ten days, and that's it.

Don't confuse a conversation by even mentioning "sse" and you'll be fine. Ok if you use the term private party transfer.

You bought it from an outta stater? you bought it from a LEO? It wasn't SSE?

I wouldn't lie, I'd take my business elsewhere as you seem to be doing, while not plentiful there are enough FFLs that you shouldn't have to go too far.

Why would how you aquired a gun you are selling even be a suject that comes up?

No need to lie or tell the truth or even address it at all...

If both parties are in FFL, no need to mention SSE. Try RNB in Milpitas.

If the FFL is that bent out of shape about it I am guessing they will ask or refuse service (even if they are required to do the transfer) if you won't answer their nonsense questions.

No you don't need to answer, but obviously this FFL whoever it is has an issues with PPT on a former SSE.

This was my initial thinking on the matter.
Some LGS are like robots, when they hear the word "SSE" they spin around in circles saying "Danger, Danger".
Should have just said you had a PPT and be done with it.

My guess is Targetmasters. I've done a PPT of an off roster pistol there before (never again!!) but they are known for their foot dragging and FUD with PPT's. When they insist on taking your driver's license info to buy ammo (!) I wouldn't put the above scenario past them.
