Sorry for de railing your thread...just genuinely trying to be helpful.
I appreciate it GSR, and believe me it's something that I've thought about too. But I think I'm pretty confident in doing it because 1) I'm only looking to take a little bit of weight off the pull, not making it a 1-2lb trigger, 2) there are several approved guns out there that I could have qualified with that come from the factory with much lighter triggers, 3) who says I didn't have the kit installed at time of qualifying with the instructor, and 4) I'm probably going to get sued whether the trigger has been worked on or not.

Back to topic. I love my PRP spring kit. Trigger drastically improved over stock. I also polished the internals as well.
thanks for the input, I think I'll go for the springs and forget about the new sear for now. I didn't mind the stock trigger too much other than how heavy it was, so I'll just buy the spring kit which is a no brainer for how inexpensive it is. Thanks!

Nothing in the kit will change the length of the take-up, the pull however is much lighter and the break is crisper now.

Thanks I think I will be getting a complete kit once I finish DROSing my XDS next year! Gives me an excuse to take the thing apart anyhow.

Please post a pic of the new sear next to the OEM sear if any of you get the chance.

I'm curious to see what changes they did to the sear geometry.

I did the full kit with trigger in my XD .45 tactical. It takes some time to get everything fit and working perfect. The results are amazing. If you do it and get the trigger as well you will need to remove a bit of material from the trigger stop. You have to use a file to do it the video shows sand paper being used. I also put in the ejector this is a huge improvement over the stock piece.
