I appreciate it GSR, and believe me it's something that I've thought about too. But I think I'm pretty confident in doing it because 1) I'm only looking to take a little bit of weight off the pull, not making it a 1-2lb trigger, 2) there are several approved guns out there that I could have qualified with that come from the factory with much lighter triggers, 3) who says I didn't have the kit installed at time of qualifying with the instructor, and 4) I'm probably going to get sued whether the trigger has been worked on or not.

XDS PRP trigger kit vs. spring kit

thanks for the input, I think I'll go for the springs and forget about the new sear for now. I didn't mind the stock trigger too much other than how heavy it was, so I'll just buy the spring kit which is a no brainer for how inexpensive it is. Thanks!Comment

Nothing in the kit will change the length of the take-up, the pull however is much lighter and the break is crisper now.was the take-up as long? I've fired mine and the first pull seemed long and heavy. After that first shot when working the reset it wasn't that bad, but still seemed heavy. I'd like to see a couple lbs taken off the pull and a shortened take-up. I wasn't too disappointed otherwise with the trigger for a carry gun...Comment

I did the full kit with trigger in my XD .45 tactical. It takes some time to get everything fit and working perfect. The results are amazing. If you do it and get the trigger as well you will need to remove a bit of material from the trigger stop. You have to use a file to do it the video shows sand paper being used. I also put in the ejector this is a huge improvement over the stock piece.Comment
