This could just be a bad round as well. It does happen. Even with the primer strike being off center I would have expected the round to fire. Could be wrong. But I think you just got a dud of a round.

As for himurax13's comment, he could be right as well. Might be a good idea to download your magazines by 2 rounds. Topping off your magazines, on any semi-auto gun, is a bad idea. Puts too much tension on the springs and leads to a laundry list of issues. It is hard for the inexperienced shooter to accept, but it's the first thing a competition or highly trained LEO or military shooter will tell you when you start experiencing issues.

the second round stoppage seems to be the most frequent problem that occurs when topping off.

This is true even without issues, we only loaded our M4/M16 mags with 28 rounds and to this day my standard capacity Glock mags are always one less then full. Not because of function problems, but do to the potential of a full mag not setting on a closed slide.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Use the slide stop to chamber your rounds, dont ride the slide forward.

Take it again. Clean it good and try diff ammo. Maybe that is a bad round. If any problem or issue again, send it back.
