The one you buy without any CA features via SSE while you still have the chance. No way I would ever own a 226 with CA features, or a Ferrari with training wheels. Once you're resolved to buy a real Sig 226, it just comes down to which one you like and which one you have the cash to buy - they are all very nice. I like them all

The Mk25 is always calling out to me, hopefully I get an off roster version via SSE someday. For now I rock a vintage W. German no-rail 226 from 1989.

I have the p226 mk25 desert sand and I'm waiting on a p226 tacops .40 s&w. Both are sse.

Like Sky Hawk, I have a no rail P226 made in West Germany. One of the best pistols I have fired. I would never sell that one.

Depends. If you're going to put things like night sights and the short reset trigger on it anyway, then you might as well buy an Elite (or similar) as it will probably save you time and money in the long run.

you are GTG with almost any P226 OP. cheapest model you can get with all the features you want. like if you don't like night sights, you don't need to spend the extra for the models that have it on there already vs the regular contrast sights.

BUT... like others have said, it depends on what YOU want and what YOU are looking for in a gun. There are many models in the 226 category, pick one that fits you the best.

SIG 226 stainless in 9mm. Send it to Sig for the SRT and action enhancement package, you'll have a fantastic weapon sure to please.

Find yourself one with German made frame, it will last your life time.

SRT, night sight, finish and grips can be changed later if you want.
