PX4 Storm or another Glock 19

Looking for another 9mm pistol to play with. Already own a gen 2 Glock 19, and was originally thinking about picking up a gen 3 or 4.

But, also thinking that I wouldn't mind owning a Beretta of some sort (I generally like all things Italian). Like the looks of the PX4 storm, though I haven't shot one. I have shot the 92fs, and I really liked the way it felt, though it was a bit big/heavy for my small hands. I believe the trigger is the same on the 92 and PX4.

With the Beretta, I could eventually also pick up a CX4 which I understand can be easily adaptable to use the PX4 mags.

Anyone have both the Glock and the PX4? Anything I should know about the Beretta?

This is strictly for fun, not carry or home defense.

    Thanks!

Love my PX4 Storm. It is my night stand gun. Rotating barrel is soft shooting.
Really got it for the wife. Has a Streamlight with laser mounted on it.
Points more natural for me than the Glocks do.

I haven't heard much (good or bad) about the PX4 except from one buddy who loved them. He was a very smart guy and he knew his guns so I take his input seriously.

With that said, I own a few glocks and have never had an issue with them. If you plan on doing any work or mods on your guns, glocks are easier to work on and it will be easier to find parts (and tutorials lol).

Both are great guns and you'd do well with either. If its 100% just a gun for fun, get the PX4 just because it will stand out more.

The PX4 is reliable, accurate and a soft shooter.
Not sure if you have handled one, I will point out a few quirks:
                  - the safety/decocker is on the slide and a bit to the back, usually need to break grip to reach it.
                  - eventhough the 'F' model is said to have a safety, engaging it will decock and disconnect the trigger. Essentially no cocked and locked.
Overall, its a great pistol. I like mine.
BTW, the CX4 can accept either PX4 or 92 mags.

                    92fs and (full-size) PX4 feel about the same recoil-wise.
92 is heavier than PX4. PX4's rotating barrel makes them feel similar when shooting.
I found almost 100% positive reviews on the PX4.
Can't speak for Glocks. Shot one long ago and it wasn't for me. I'm sure they're every bit as good.

Russ209: how did you manage to get the compact/subcompact into the state? I'm told they are not on the roster.

SSE. Read the sticky. 10 days left to get one.
                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

The PX4 mags will also work in a Citadel M1 9MM carbine. Save yourself 1K over the CX4.
