Remove the mag disconnect. Five minute job, and it has a great price point: free. Ok, maybe you'll have to cough up a buck or two for a replacement spring.

I like the factory trigger so far, still breaking it in.

I bought a couple extra 8-rd magazines, that's the extent of my aftermarket mods.

      ETA link.

Yeah - I said that in the OP.

Otherwise, thanks to all for your suggestions.

Odd, I PPT my non-CA shield that came with the Talon grips. First thing I did was removed it.

Just picked up another 9mm Shield with no thumb safety.

Only mods I did were the Talon rubber grips (a must for the Shield IMO), and I just out in the APEX carry trigger kit into the gun the other night..... found it on Amazon for $68 shipped via Prime from a legit shop in the Fresno area. For the price, the trigger feels so much smoother now with a lower weight pull (which is what I wanted), and a smooth pull with crisp break & reset. Totally worth the $68 spent on it.

I'll eventually get sights if I decide to keep it, after I pick up my LC9s PRO in a few weeks and see how that compares first.

I'll be sending the slide out for a nice hard chrome dip, apex USB and sight install.

I didn't see the video but the quality looks much nicer with the talon grip. The talon grip looks like a real product, the other looks like a diy job.

Is there an echo in here?

Main reason why I never got Track Grips was because they only cover the front strap and sides, but never the rear back strap.

Did they recently change their design and add more material to now cover the rear backstrap?

I put Trijicon night sights on my Shield. Otherwise, I have left my CA compliant Shield alone. Great little gun.

If you're planning to carry it for CCW, nada! If not, every mod I can think of has already been said.
