Hahaha "they all fall for hardball!"

Hot 45acp carry loads. Critical duty and 45 XTP +p. The other 45 +p loads expand more and really dont penetrate deeply such as the ranger-t and hst. I think they hover around 13-14" where the xtp and crit duty are more like 16-17"

My bedside gun is loaded with 230gr HST in standard pressure. But if I wanted something hot, I'd pick something from Buffalo Bore.

I've run the Hornady TAP FPD 200gr +P for a number of years, but cost and availability have pushed me towards the HST. I have some Winchester Ranger that I really like, but it doesn't feed 100% in all of my pistols. The 230g HST +P, in my fullsize pistols and the standard 230g HST in the compacts is turning out to be a very good setup, that works across the board.

For anyone with some extra time to watch Youtube, I watched this channel a lot. He's tested many different ammunition types. Though he stopped making videos a few months back, they still hold value

If you watch Hickok45 at all, you've probably heard him crack jokes about TNOutdoors9

                    here's a video:

In this video is just over 1", but if you do some digging online youll see the average is 1" - 1.1"
in the mediocre testing I did in to water jugs with this stuff, I always got over 1" expansion when I could recover the slug.
