favorite HOT 45 acp carry loading?

I havent thought about 45 carry ammo in a long time, what are some of your favorite defensive loadings? I like the gold dot 124gr +p in my 9's.

With my Elite match 45 coming down the pipeline, I've been think ing it might be a fun open carry cocked n locked option when I'm in nevada etc.

Federal HST seems to be getting stellar reviews, even in shorter barrels.

Anybody carry the 165gr nuclear loads? Have to imagine the b.c. in a .45 that light would be pretty awful but maybe it doesn't matter? I do enjoy my laser rounds.

230 Grain +P HSTs are my favorite.

I like Winchester Ranger +p. Also it comes in 50 round boxes.

The defense loads in my G30SF are the 230 grain HST +P ...packs a good punch

Rangers or HST FTW. You can usually find both on SGAmmo.com. Shipping isn't exactly cheap but availability is usually pretty good compared to other online stores.

                    I carry the HST 230 gr (non+P)

Federal HST's. I like standard loads in 45's though.

I have 185 grain +P Federal Hydra-Shok in my Glock 30sf and find it very adequate. I'm a velocity believer and don't mind the lighter faster round. Very seriously considering going to .357 SIG for CCW as my older LEO friends and family swore by the .357 Magnum for its effectiveness out of 4" S&W Revolvers.
The .357 SIG is a very close cousin.

The 230 grain +P HST's are pretty good, but the 230 grain +P ranger t's are by far the best of the best. You get the same penetration as the 230 +p HST's but with 1-1.1 inch expansion, where as the HST's expand to around .80-.90 .

230 grain hardball. It works for BigFoot. It worked for WW2.

What is the velocity on those? I haven't seen any 1.1 inch expansion tests?
