SIG Decisions... yet another SSE Thread.

I just picked up a P226 MK25d and LOVE it. Insanely accurate and a complete pleasure to shoot.

I was all set on the SIG P320 Carry in 9mm as my last SSE, but then I looked at the other P226's on the market.

The modularity of the P320 is impressive, and much cheaper, but damn, some of these SIG's look really nice.

Hard to make the decision, any thoughts from other SIG owners? Are they different enough from my MK25 that I'll enjoy shooting both? I like the P320 for modularity and possibly CC for hiking/camping. I wouldn't CC daily or even monthly, so it is a distant need, at best. Any others I should be looking at?

Haha, as fun as that looks, I think I'd have issues owning such a neutered weapon like that in CA. It would be like owning a Ferrari FXX and limiting it to 2K RPM's, on 87 octane, with a valet key.

I own a P226R, a P226 Elite Dark, a P226 TacOps, etc. But they are just not as good as the stuff from the Mastershop. I've always been a BIG fan of the X-Five Tactical.

I would prefer 9mm due to cost, but could be swayed if worth it. I already own an XD 40 and .45 Range Officer, so I've got options in those calipers.

Forgive my ignorance, but what's good or different about the P229 from the P226?

The 320 is a completely different Sig; striker fired. Get that one. All the other Sigs you mention are just painted version of the same theme. They see a lot of you Sig collectors coming a mile away with some of this Emperor Scorpion King silliness.

Thanks for this, that is one of the big things running through my head. As much as I love the MK25, I'd think I'd rather own something that shoots differently for sake of variety. I want my last SSE to shoot well, but it's no fun taking two of the same gun to the range.

Just picked her up as well, unfortunately I couldn't find the CA compliant version with the awesome Mag Disconnect and Loaded Chamber Indicator. Sadly even though I really wanted an X-Six I don't think its going to happen before SSE is up. My next pistol is going to be an on roster P220 Combat.

I have a desert MK25, I would say X5 if I would do another Sig for my last SSE. I like the scorpion but it would shoot too similar to my MK25. I put the E2 grips and SRT on mine and love it.

Get a P320!

You can always get a used P226 and Cerakote it the color you want.
Add grips you like.
Engraving never looked god to me unless it is on a Top Dollar Shotgun you want to look cool with at the Gun Club.

Gorgeous, would love to own a matching set. But I think I'll just settle on a P229r.

I will be picking up my P226 9mm Scorpion tomorrow at Rifle Gear tomorrow. You can still get the Scorpion next year but it has to be Cal model.

P220? Or are you not interested in a .45?

My 220 Scorpion is my favorite gun.

The P220 Combat is one of the most beautiful gun I've ever seen. The version on the roster is without a LCI/Mag Disconnect. Sadly its not the most practical even by California standards, no idea how people can live with only 8 rounds flush. You can get a 10 hicap magazine but that increased the size of the gun by a good 20%.

That being said a P220 Combat with Hogue re-checkered grips is simply classic.
