I like the 17 over the 19. People will say the 19 is the way to go because its easier to conceal. Well thats true, but really......a half inch deference in length and height is spliting hairs in my opnion, might as well get the slightly bigger gun and gain the advantages it provides.

I have all the 9mm glocks.
I would not choose the 19 for USPSA etc, as there's a non-zero risk of pinching your palm during fast reload.

That said, if I had to have just one, it would probably be the 19.

I have both, but like the 17 better. If I get a CCW, I will carry the 19.

If after the initial interview, the investigator tells you to go get the LiveScan, is it likely that you will be approved? I don't want to get my hopes up if it is still iffy.

i'm a fan of the Gen 2 G17 and Gen 2 G19. the best deal i could find on either would determine which one i'd buy first, but at some point in time i'd want both.

The 17 is not that hard to conceal. I wouldn't mind a 19 but after carrying my 17 around it's not half as bad as I thought. A button down shirt and appendix carry and it's hidden. More comfortable and the same concealment in the 5 o'clock position with an incog iwb.

I love the G17. Have a gen 4 and Gen 2. It's not that bad for Conceal. I mostly use my G26 and G30s for concealment. Never owned a G19. G19 seems like a great gun, I opted for a 45 cal instead of the G19. A G30S is basically the size of the 19.

Take the CCW out of the equation, I would lean towards the 17 over any of the other glock models in 9mm.

                      19. In CA, (IMO) there is no practical advantage to the slightly larger 17 (and unless if you have massive hands, the 19 will fit you, anyways). If you wanted the "best for range and target" without concern to the advantages of the 19, then the 34 is always a good bet. It's like a bigger 17 that is actually competition legal (not too big).

I bought Gen 4 G17, G19, and G26 at OC Firearms. So far my favotite is the G17, followed by the G26.

I prefer my G19C over any of the 17s Ive shot. Even the small differences in size really help concealablity in my opinion.

I have a 17L longslide and a 19, i dont think I'll ever put the L on my CCW, lol. If there was a chance you would carry, i would get the 19. My 17L is the funniest pistol i have to shoot besides my ar pistols.

If you have small hands, get the 19. If you have large hands, get the 17.
