    Glock 17/19 Comparison

Wonder if anyone has a Glock 17 and a 19. What's your opinion of the handling ease and shooting ease of either?

Both great. If you ever think you'll conceal carry. Get the 19.

17 has a longer sight radius & is preferred by a lot of performance shooters. I've had both & enjoy my G19 currently. Target shooting G17, gonna carry it? G19. Money no object? Get both!
Yes I took the pic, no I didn't go swimming!

No need to get both. If you want to carry the glock then G19 is the way to go though people carry g17's also but it's not easy to conceal. Very light recoil on both guns and you will notice better accuracy at longer range with G17. I carry a G19 and some mean fast rounds and it's great. Make sure the one you get is the generation 4.

I have both; the 17 for USPSA and the 19 for carry (until recently).
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

It's pretty simple, the 19 is the version of the original Glock with concealed carry in mind.

Switching between the two is not a problem for most.

Running them... no difference in operation.

Physical differences are size, sight radius length, grip length. Functions all the same, choice is personal preference depending on one's criteria. Shoot them, pick one or both.

As stated by others it really depends on what you want to do with it. My EDC is a Glock 19 and is easily concealed.

Have both and love them both. I am starting to lean more to the G19, just like the size.

I own 15 Glock 17 or 19's. I have a preference for the 17 as it is easier to shoot rapidly.

Here's 12 of my Gen 3 and 4 in different colors:
