Storm Lake or Smith & Wesson?

I've been wanting a 9mm barrel for my M&P 40 but no one has seen any of the S&W barrels in quite some time.

Should I keep waiting for the Smith or just spend the extra money and get the Storm Lake? The Storm Lake is about twice the price of the Smith.

Neither, kkm. Much better than storm. If you get the factory barrel you may have a point of impact and reliability issues as the breach face is much wider on the 40= sloppy fit. Smiths rely upon extractor tension for consistent lock up and that may be lost through the tolerance issue.

Make sure you get the 40/9mm conversion barrel.

Smith and wesson does not sell barrels by themselves anymore. Get a kkm conversion barrel and be done with it.

I don't see a conversion barrel listed on kkm's website.

The conversion barrel is on a drop down box. It will ask length caliber/ conversion ect.
