Any version of the PPQ will be a better pistol than the PPX. It seems to be out of stock at many places, but you can still get lucky. Either version of it would be good (M1, M2). I believe it's easier to find mags for the M1 and the paddle release is really nice.

Yeah the P99 mags offer a lot of almost Glock-like options for the M1 owner. I do love my M2 5" though.

Some P99 stuff works though... I am thinking of getting a P99 front sight.

PPQ M2, tried both m1 and m2 at the range. M2 standard mag release works much better. Paddle release should stay in HK

I love the paddles. But my first handgun was a HK USP 45, so I may be biased.

PPQ. Here is a quick and useful read on the PPX (not a bad gun).
Just wanted to give the short and skinny on what you DO and DO NOT get with a PPX. First what you DO get: Inside the case you will find a very high quality and very accurate PPX handgun with 2 magazines with a breach lock. That is pretty much it. What you DO NOT find: You will NOT find...

PPQ. The biggest difference between PPX and PPQ is that PPX doesn't have the amazing PPQ trigger.

M1 has paddle magazine release and uses P99 magazines. M2 has a button magazine release which changes the location of the notch, so magazines are different and hard to find.

I have an M1 and love it. Keep in mind that the paddle is different from HK paddles - it's narrower, longer and has a slightly different feel.

First let me say I no nothing about the PPQ but I have the PPX. My gun has about 300 rounds through it and hasn't had any issues. The sights are dead on and even though the grip looks odd it feels great in the hand. The trigger pull is very smooth and almost too light. The gun is suppose to have a 6.5lb pull but I would guess it is around 4.5lbs or even a hair lighter. I got a great deal on it new so I couldn't pass it up. It doesn't seem many people are buying them so who knows how long walther will keep making them. I also got the free holster, mag holder and magazine.
