I did pick up a 2nd G-42 with that in mind.
Hard to pass up at $419.00
Even though my littlest one is 26.

IMO I would never feel comfortable just "giving" an 18 year old kid a gun. Going shooting with them sure... but I would never just give them a gun untill they re atleast 25 and they ve proven they re not a hot-head or irresponsible person.

I don't have kids, but I'd be in the same camp. Too many teenage issues these days...also, if it's not YOUR son, it could be bad influences from friends that have no temperament or mentality to be around a gun. I have no issues with responsible parents who shoot with their kids, though.

Another thought ... send your kids to university out of state and have THEM send YOU guns!

Big assumption: Kali will be a free state by then.

I told my daughter that she can have my PPQ M1. She's 14 and shoots it really well for someone who has only been to the range 4 times.

Bought my shield to hand down to my new daughter. She's gonna love it.

I've bought all my guns with my kids in mind. My oldest goes shooting all the time with me I recently bought her a remington 597 Im setting it up to look like my remington 700 she just started clay shooting with me and my son he loves his guns even though he is only 3 and doesn't shoot yet in his own words he always says I can't wait to go shoot with dad. I want to go shoot the bad deer. I can't wait till he's old enough to start hunting with me.

I had bought 2 firearms (P229 and G19) for my oldest, so I plan on giving my youngest 2 as well (P229 and a HK VP9 that I did SSE for him)

I don't have any kids (that I'm aware of). However, I do have a brand new, never been fired Glock 19 Gen 4 that I will be giving my brother on his 21st birthday this coming January.
Sorry, I'm late. I didn't want to come.

I had my kids on my mind every month this year I dropped $500-1000 on a new SSE gun purchase knowing it was $$ that wouldn't be going into their college fund.
