    Your favorite/recommended .40S&W handgun?

I currently have a Glock 23 Gen 3... Trijicon HDs, Ghost 3.5lb Disconnect, SS guide rod, etc.

It's been kind of a love/hate thing as of late, and I'm going to do a little trigger work and what not to give it one last go. Think it has to do with me shooting 1911s on a regular basis. Part of me wants to go with another .40S&W handgun... do you guys have any suggestions for a great .40S&W shooter (reliable, reasonably priced, good trigger, etc.)?

Only one comes to mind is Sig P226, but don't really want to go that route or M&P40, etc.

    Thanks!

How about a Beretta Px4 .40 cal? I just got mine out of jail and it's a fine shooter. With Beretta's $75 rebate, prices are pretty low too.

I have a love/hate relationship with my glock 22. It was my first handgun so I'll always have a soft spot for it. I also started shooting 1911s regularly and realized how much the glock was lacking.

I still loved shooting 40s&w, especially since everybody else hates on it so I bought me a 1911 chambered in 40s&w.

The Witness Elite Match would be a great shooter too, I have one in 45 and I love it too.

S&W Shorty Forty from the Performance Center. Best 40 ever made.

If you can't afford one, then a 4013TSW. Same thing but production line. Still has some fitting from the Performance Center.

Bold statement. I have never shot one of those but then again, it does have a slide mounted safety. One of my best friends loved his in 10mm.

I really like my Sig X-Five. Having said that, my wife and I recently purchased P320 in .40 (one Full Size, one Carry) and I am really liking them.

I really wanted this too to replace my G23, but heard mixed things about it... a range officer once told me that it's a great gun, but not so much in .40S&W, and to go with a 9mm for that model.

Any additional work needed for it, or is it good to go out of the box?
