SSE is over, now I'm bored!

After the last few years we just got conditioned to buy buy buy and now that SSE is over the next in line is roster revolvers. We'll always have an excuse to buy something, it's the American way!

If you're talking about self defense, I'm sure most Cal Gunners are more than prepared.

If you're talking about the impending Zombie invasion, I'm sure most Cal Gunners have their 30s ready to lock and load.

I've been buying mags for longer than I had the actual weapons. Mags are/were cheap. The ARs were much more. I was a forward thinker.

And I'm sure many Calgunners aren't even old enough to legally own a firearm let alone standard caps.

The S&W 929 has my eye. But it's likely to be the last or only thing this year ... too many SSE guns waiting their turn at the firing line!

That's a nice one! I wasn't too interested in it until I saw Jerry Miculek shoot a metal plate at 1000 yards with it.



I thought it would take me a bit longer, but I just picked up a S&W Performance Center Model 627 with a 2.6" barrel. Interesting to have an 8-shot revolver that takes moonclips with a smooth trigger - it's not a bad home defense gun if you train with it. I'd like to pick up a Model 29 Dirty Harry style wheel gun and that's probably going to be it for 2015 for me.

I'm bored as hell, now I'm selling a few SSE guns and buying roster guns...... go figure. Thinking a TRP and a M9A1.

I know what you mean. As much of a drag as the 1 in 30 rule & the 10 day waiting period are, the building anticipation then excitement of pick up day was pretty intense. Hunting down your unicorn(s), timing your slots, bugging your ffl, all while trying to beat the buzzer on December 31st.

Yeah, there were acquisitions before the "Panic Of 2014", and there will be others after, but what a ride. <sigh>

I'm going to concentrate on .22 ammo and reloading components. Once I clear up the SSE frenzy debt, I'm going to save up and finally get myself a Python. After that, I want a model 610 S&W 10mm and I think I'm done.
