    colt 1991a1 series 80

So I check my email and see grabagun is selling these for 599. Not knowing relatively much about 1911's, I seek the good folks here's opinion on this deal. It says it's knocked down from like $925 regular price.

The also have the Remington 1911 stainless for 475.

    What's the word on these.

I think you would be happy with either one.

    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Yeah I agree. Pick the one that you think looks better since they will both be accurate and reliable. $599 for a new Colt is a great price.

I think the stainless r11 looks good but a cold is a colt... also the colt should be on roster right?

I guess the colt is 699 with a 599 rebate or something. .. do they ever get that cheap or is this a once in forever price? Colt would make a sweet lil project gun with a Wilson beavertail and some new grips and sights.

Also I feel like I've heard people over the years bash series 80 colts... are they really not as good/reliable/durable?

I'm starting to look into buying a new Colt 1911. I can't seem to find any new 70 series 1911s, but I see a lot of 80 series 1911s around. Which of the two is better? Is 80 series more reliable then a

Dude that is a steal for that colt, and that Remington is not even in the same league seriously.

Saw that email also and was tempted on picking one up....

Good on roster canidate to send off as a base gun to do some custom work on..

Would have preferred a series 70 colt , but you can delete the series 80 features if you don't want them ...

I have a colt SS series 80 1911 and I have had a Wilson Combat trigger with the same pull as my Wilson CQB and added night sights when the original front site fell off. Other than that the gun is stock and over thousands and thousands of rounds has not had any problem what so ever. So for that price I would go for it. I love mine and it shoots very very well.

Bullseye in Riverside California has this one on sale this week. I don't know if it is the same model you are looking for, but it is 100% doable in this state.
