I will Never buy online with knesek guns in AZ before reading what I am buying.

    Hello my fellow Calgunners!

I purchased an HK P30LS from knesek guns inc, and thier prices was great! Purchased it online and checked out on Thursday. They gave me a total of $810 and I was wowed! So over the weekend I've received an email and I didn't check it till this morning, they charged me $887 on thier invoice?!? I was like WTF? They had hidden charges that was not listed on thier checkout and added it separately, and just emailed the new invoice. If I only knew they would charge $77 more for it I would have passed and got it somewhere else. My stupid @ss only transferred $840 (because I thought it was only $810 and gave room just in case for shipping) on my Card so I got charged multiple insufficient funds on my account. I called them this morning to confirm what the charges was for and they told me $35 shipping $8 insurance and 4% on CC fees. An employee there (if u need his name I will give it to u) that I spoke to today said you cannot return or cancel your order, unless you pay the 45% of the total price including all the other fees. I've never had a bad experience like this ever before in purchasing online. Now I have to eat it, and pay extra.

So my recommendations is to stay away from Knesek guns, the person I spoke with had no considerations for the inconvenience that was put on me, and basically said to me you can return it and $400~ back or just deal with it. Never again will I buy from knesek guns in AZ. Wish the employee had some kind of heart to atleast throw something in for my inconvenience but they didn't even try. So never again.

Just wanted to vent my frustrations, sorry CGF just had a bad start to my Monday/week.

I'm sorry for your bad start to the week.

I just got back from Vacation where a hotel tried to make me stay in a room with hanging faulty wiring because its the only room left when I decided to check in. Needless to say I stayed someplace else and even with all of my reciepts American Express said they couldn't do anything. Thing is American Express used to screw business hard when it comes to sticking up for the consumer, now even they are bending backwards to big business.

@pofoo I'm just going to eat the $179 loss. ($77 from knesek, $102 NSF charges)
And there goes my $200visa rebate. FML

@condor so I'm supposed to read FAQ's on every website before ordering? Really?

@cali I purchased numerous firearms online (I prolly say 20+) of my firearm inventory were online purchases, and never came across this ever.

I think you probably still paid less than anyone here for the P30L.

You might be able to get those NSF charges reversed if you pay a personal visit to the bank and talk to a Banker, not a teller.

                      Good luck.

@tomt not really if u add the NSF charges.

@oceanbob I would if I could but I'm working crazy hours that prevent me from goin to the bank these next few months.

Just going to eat it and take it as a learning curve. and I've actually just read on Google I'm not the only one who had trouble with knesek.

But did you read the fine print, or did you not see any when you bought that gun?

I too have at one point in my life (around 2007 to 2011) bought several firearms online. Mostly through GB. The vast majority of them were good or better than what I wanted. From about 30 to 35 firearms bought, I've only ever returned two of them back to the FFL, and there was only one 'lemon' which I ended up reselling at a loss because the seller screwed me. So that seems to me like a pretty decent Win/Lose ratio, especially since most of the guns I bought thru online have been keepers. Nowadays if I order anything online, it's directly thru a reputable distributor, such as Atlantic Arms.

My point is, depending on where you order online guns from, 99% of the time they will mention if they will charge extra (such as 3% or more) for use of credit card. I almost never had that problem however, due to paying with USPS money order. And the vast majority of firearms I bought were pre-owned from private sellers, which helped me get some good bargains but had the problem of finding a friendly FFL to transfer to.

I'm not defending this AZ ffl, they sound like a business I would not deal with. But you have to understand, if they posted that they would charge extra for use of CC or other dumb fees for doing business with them, look before you leap, otherwise it will (literally) cost you. I learned my lessons the hard way when I first started buying guns a long time ago.

this is a curse in the gun-biz.

you need to hammer every gun deal on the 'are there extra charges?......oh, what about extra FEES, because we all know charges and fees aren't the same.....how about any "dealer's expenses"???.....not sure?....owner not there to give final word???....maybe you should just ship me the gun and THEN I'll think about paying so we don't have any confusions?'.....

oh, yeah, and of course "shipping" isn't in any of the above.

I'm I trying to buy a new car or a new gun? Did all the car douche bags go to the gun biz?

This is like a Union when you ask them "how much does the Union take?". Answer is always an indignant "The UNION doesn't TAKE anything". Then it is 101 questions to figure out the latest cute big word the Mob uses for stealing from workers. "Allocated", etc.

I've been told it works to tell them "I'm going to send you a Money Order, even if it will take longer in the mail. How much should I make it out for to cover everything so you will ship the gun?"

Makes me think I'm a dentist because it is like pulling teeth. Or maybe a lawyer cross examining another lawyer how is also a hostile witness.

Not sure but IIRC you MIGHT be able to sue them in small claims in YOUR hometown, or at least make them wake up. Tell them you didn't tell them about YOUR extra fees.

I don't think "FAQ" is allowed to sneak in extra charges if at checkout they gave you a total price.

We learned in Biz Law that Universal Commercial Code allows for "gap fillers" for 'common biz practices' which seem to all be slanted toward big and sleazy biz(like those car sales 'worksheets' that are technically legally binding but don't include a few thousand dollars of 'common charges'. To me any biz should bear full responsibility of putting it all in writing at time of signing.

PS-the sad thing is you need to hammer the GOOD GUYS and basically insult them and accuse them of being shady. Oh well, they seem to understand.

I’m with Ocean Bob - call your bank, explain the situation, and they might be able to waive the fees this one time.
