Thanks guys for all the advice. A lot of you are right I should take it out and shoot it. I think it's the color that bumed me out. I'm so use to seeing these nice Glocks on Instagran that my Glock looks like a pile of poop. First things first I'm going to stipple it, then get it painted. Anyways it is what it is I'll just keep it and shoot the crap out of it, I mean it is a 9mm so ammo should be cheap.Comment

It wouldn't be Calguns without a strong Glock vs. 1911 argument in any thread with a Glock or a 1911 or really most threads even without mention of a Glock or a 1911. It just seems to spring up like a virus. FWIW, I agree with the OP, I see very little there to excite me, Glock's FDE is hideous. Glocks and most plastic guns look worse in anything but black. I have an M&P Shield in 9mm, it is my only plastic gun and it too would look really ugly in anything but black. Good news for OP is that FDE Glocks are a bit more rare and therefore you can probably actually make a little profit selling it unfired and buy what you really want, whatever that is.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

I hate to beat a dead horse but ouch on coming to a judgment without shooting it first.
I know we all buy firearms with some biased on the way they look. But handguns are tools , not part of your clothing attire. You have one of the most, if not, the most, reliable tool on the planet! I've seen screw drivers break sooner than glocks lol
There a different types of purposes for handguns too, home self-defense, concealed carry, competition, plinking (range toys), movie props lolLast edited by safety-1st; 11-17-2014, 10:14 AM.Comment

NAAAAAAH man, shoot it first.... Don't do all that crap to a new piece you just bought.
But hey it's your gun. That's a one way ticket if you ask me.
If you put 1000 rounds through it, and decide you (really) don't like it, then you're selling a stock Glock Gen4 with 1000rds on it.
If you stipple and paint it, then shoot it, and decide you don't like it...now your stuck trying to sell a highly personalized gun. Good luck with that. There will be buyers, but what do you think will have a better resale value? Being that you already "don't like it".... better think about that first move, real hard.
All I'm saying is, if it's the color you're worried about... put yourself in a good position to sell/trade it, if it DOESN'T shoot how you expect it to. Cause that's what really matters.
Good luck!Last edited by deephouse; 11-17-2014, 3:51 PM.Comment
