Big thanks for clearing up the PCR on roster for me. That's good to know. I feel like I want to SSE a cz just to make sure I get one, but knowing there are so many good ones available on roster (pretty much all their handguns seem to have a low capacity Cali version) if I don't get the one I want I'm sure I can get another one I'd be really happy with. Thanks. Gotta get some different ones in hand now. Checked one out at turners and It felt great but don't remember what model as I wasn't looking too much at CZs at the time

Also. The title of this thread was intended to be range toy. Not range you....

I'm not worried, CZ is pretty consistent on renewing all their guns unless it is discontinued. Every year you see these "CZ model .... is falling off the roster" threads.

I have a PCR and love it. It's my nightstand gun along with my Benelli M2 and I carry it while camping etc. (no LTC here in LA...)

With that being said, I find it pretty large to conceal. I've got an IWB holster for it and I'm not exactly a skinny minnie guy but I feel like it prints easily if I'm not wearing a jacket or hoodie over it. For concealed carry I would get something smaller.

Regarding smaller guns not being good "in a gunfight" well sure, but an adequate gun you carry regularly is better than the awesome gun you left at home because it was too big / heavy.

If your criteria is mainly concealed carry, go with whatever you will actually carry. If you can pull off a "compact" (PCR/P01) sized gun regularly, more power to you. IMHO all of the CZ guns are too big to conceal well (for me) except for maybe the RAMI, but in that size there are better options on the market (my pick would be M&P 9C).

I emailed and got this response from Jeff Neumann

"The models you see will remain. No new ones..."

Do they just stay on for a year? Makes me feel good about not needing to SSE one before end of year. I'm personally leaning toward sp-01 and I'll trade t or save up for a carry gun if desired in future. Thanks all for input

When a gun company pays CA their $200 renewal fee, it just gets renewed for 1 year and they must do it every year to remain on the roster. If they forget and let them expire, they are pretty boned.

I have a P01 on my LTC, and I agree with Rumline.

I'm thin, and find the P01 a little thick for my boney hip.

Something a little thinner, and a little shorter (for me Springfield EMP), and it's quite a difference

I still think the p07 fits your criteria well and it is in fact off roster.
