Cz for concealed carry and range you?

I actually have a shield but that's more for the mrs. I figure I might want something bigger. Lots of cz on roster and it sounds like they will renew. Only the PCR looks to be off roster. Gotta get some in hand.

Only have $ for one but maybe I can get a full size if thy stay on roster for a few years

Just a heads up, the PCR is on roster. Its not as state forward as it could be.

I've shied away from CZ for some stupid reason then handled a CZ-75D compact. I LOVE this pistol. I shot it well right out of the box. It just feels right. I sold my HK USP 9c for it. I still love HK but damn, more CZ's will be will be coming home

I agree. I keep shooting the 75 compact every year at the rahaage sports fair... and it's really nice.

I've been looking for one for quite some time. Unfortunately now with the holidays, I have to put off my search for a few months.

The PCR falls off the roster on Dec 31, 2014. The P-01 at the end of next February (let's hope both get renewed).

I've never shot a shield.... but I'd guess you never shot a cz 75 compact....

They are NICE..... A little heavy for a ccw gun... but my sig p239 which I carry everyday isnt exactly light either...

I'd take the cz 75 compact over my sig 239 any day of the week.... and the sig is not a bad gun....

The cz would be a fine range gun too- my 239, not so much... it's ok... but not 'fun' to shoot.

I suppose the cz compact isnt much different in practical terms from a sig 229... another gun I'm interested in... but the cz being nearly half the price.....

Go ahead and time yourself shooting some of the popular pistol drills with a CCW-specific handgun like a Shield. El Presidente, Bill Drill, Mozambique, etc.

Now grab a handgun that's built on a chopped full-sized frame (P-01, CZ75 Compact, etc) and do the same.

Big difference.

Wow thanks guys, i was going to get a pcr before the end of the year, the on roster may be difficult to get but at least its possible. CZ does seem to be re-uping their pistols.

I hear ya, I have had my PCR sitting at my FFL for months. I bought it a while back when i believed it to be off roster. I plan on running the DROS in January.

The PCR is an awesome pistol. If I was to have one CZ that would be it.

This would be true if i wasn't a masochists. I only keep the 97 because it upsets me when i shoot it. If i ever start to enjoy it ill give you a ring.
