.45 ammo question

What are you guys and gals using for punching paper and self-defense? I'd be running the ammo in a DW Specialist 1911.

HST 230 gr.

Target = I prefer using brass mainly wwb, federal, and pmc
SD = federal hst 230 gr

Lately I've been using federal aluminum. It burns cleaner vs. WWB for instance. And cheaper.

I've had no issues with federal ( brass or aluminum) or winchesters.

range- all FMJ- Federal American Eagle 230 gr, S&B 230 gr, Magtech 230 gr,etc

HD- Speer Gold Dot JHPs- 230 gr- never had a ftf in any of my 3 1911's w this so stocked up on it.
