That's why I emailed the gunsmith, not the sales guys. CZ lists a few different email addresses and I made it clear that I would have liked a response from a gunsmith who works with these guns daily.Comment

Well, I got a response back from the gunsmith, and this is what he says, verbatim:
So, an official CZ gunsmith has actually stated that this is an "issue", yet a normal occurrence. Perhaps they need to make this a non-issue for their models from here on out?... I can't believe they are still manufacturing them this way after it has been known to be a common problem..."I have seen that in the past and what I have done is just take the sear block out and put a small angle on it so the rounds will not catch. Some are worse than others, this is a common issue. Normally inserting the magazine with force will fix this but if you go slow it will get hung up."
I'm losing faith in CZ lately :|Last edited by iareConfusE; 11-12-2014, 5:45 PM.Comment

They can't change it. If they do it will need a new part number and it will fall off the roster. So, an official CZ gunsmith has actually stated that this is an "issue", yet a normal occurrence. Same for me. Only tested one blocked factory mag but looked a lot like your pic. Never noticed it and have not had any problems but it looked like there is a bit of brass from it pushing the round forward so it has likely been doing it all along (the gun is a few mounths old).Comment

So I've been playing with this more. I noticed that the issue gets alleviated when you push the mag up from the heel part of the mag base. Clears fine. But if you push up from the toe part of the mag base it shifts the mag top towards the rear and you get this issue. Anyone else try this?Comment

I think you're right about the tolerances off just by a thousandth.cool bmw

Yes that is the case for me too but you shouldn't have to rock a pistol magazine inSo I've been playing with this more. that's the thing.. until I read this thread never felt it.. I guess the way I insert the mag it doesn't do it. I actually figured this out by mistake too. I was doing something and pushed the mag a different way and it cause the issue to happen. before that never felt it or had an issue with it.Comment
