Love the .38 super in the 1911! I started with .38 autos (2 Colt pocket autos over the years) and then moved to a .38 super top end on my Series 80 .45, then finally to a RIA .38 super from a calgunner. Got the pistol, a bunch of magazines, and a bunch of ammo for an amazing price. I have a 9mm barrel for it too. The RIA in .38 is very accurate. Someday I'd like to have a Colt .38 super but until I move out of state the RIA will do nicely.

Those paired RIAs are sweet, nice score!

One of my pocket autos, since sold to fund another project

My standard RIA .38 super. Works fine just as it sits!

My second DAN WESSON 1911, and my first .38 Super:

It is still pretty tight and I'm sure will be a learning experience in concern to the .38 Super cartridge.

A local shop has both JHP and practice ammo at decent pricing.

They have gotten hard to find and expensive. There's not many non 1911 38supers. Chinese did some Tokarevs in 38super. AMT did their Backup DAO pistol. The Taurus PT38 as mentioned. EAA Witness.
