So I recently purchased a firearm (socom 2 urban camo) from a fellow Calguner. I inspected it, all looked good and I was happy with the purchase. Upon getting it home and going over the gun better and noticed the camouflage had hidden a crack in the stock. It was very hard to see, even though it was about 3/4 of an inch through. I called Springfield who helped me through a process that was very simple. I sent it back to them even though the gun was over 5 years old and they provided me a new stock. Very appreciative as they were not obligated to do so. Have been a big Springfield fan and will continue to be.

Well played SA! Been a fan and will stay a fan with stories like this -
I love stories like that. Thanks for sharing. People normally only post when they have a problem they can't get resolved.I am not your lawyer. Great customer service
My 9mm loaded was about 5 years old with many thousands of rounds when I noticed a crack in the slide stop. A simple call to Springfield resulted in a free shipping label for return and repair. I asked them to determine why the part cracked. I got a call from them explaining that they found the issue and repaired it. I asked about the slide fit and barrel brushing, if it could be improved, the guy said that he would check it out and do what he could for me. My first trip to the range with it was amazing. I had been fairly accurate with it but since they worked on it, accuracy was better and the slide and barrel fit much improved.
I called back and thanked them, the gunsmith had fitted a new bushing and tighten and fitted the slide.
I have since had their custom shop work on several of my 1911's. They do great work.
Springfield is a great company, buy with confidenceComment

I had almost the exact same experience ^^. I've never purchased a custom gun i.e. wilson, les, dan, etc. But I imagine this would be the experience I would of expected had I been dealing with a shop of that nature. The customer service rep took ownership of my issue and immediately emailed me. Also like the above story I had a 2-4 week response time attaches to my return. The stock was back at my residence at about a week and a half. All this to say the least I could do is convey my gratitude for their willingness to go above and beyond for another customer of theirs. This and the above stories are exactly how to build great customer rapport. What we have done for ourselves alone dies with us
