complete ar pistol lower

hey fellow CGers, just wondering if there are any gun stores in socal to purchase a complete ar pistol lower. turners here in oxnard has one for 529. I have contemplated completing an 80% lower but after all the tools and jig i need to purchase it comes out almost the same price. any help is appreciated

I don't think you can buy a complete lower unless they are loaning you a upper in order to dros.

By comparison a complete spikes pistol lower is $300.

Yea the screw you hard with pistol lowers. (Must be SSE'd)

They make it the same cost as an 80 for a reason. See if you can rent or borrow the tools/jig for your one lower and make the cost worth while.

Also I hope that lower has a sig brace cause that's a lot of coin for a lower.

I just picked up a Radical firearms CA compliant complete pistol with sig brace for $651 shipped.

That said I'm still waiting on it in DROS, so I can't speak for the quality or performance but from reviews it's supposed to be on par with the others. But I won't put my word on it till I get hands on. But it's an option if your interested.

But I'd still reccomend and 80 if you can borrow the tooling. I have 3 80's sitting and waiting in my safe for a MK18 upper and what ever else I fancy/can scrounge $$ for.

thanks everyone, i was going to get a funkammo complete lower but i lve read some complaints about them on the forum. then have the hassle of sending my upper to them and after add fees from my LGS and they wants 75 for transfer + $30 dros and tax.

Find a different FFL.

By state law they can only charge you $25 for the DROS.

You might also want to look around because of the transfer fee. You can find much better than $75.

Addax Tactical in San Fernando selling complete pistol lower for $299 + tax and dros. You will need to supply your own upper or purchase one their own. Very nice lowers trigger guard machined in.
